Interspecies friendship

Cultural and Socialization Institutions

An interspecies friendship is usually a nonsexual bond formed between animals of different species. Numerous cases among wild and domesticated animals have been reported and documented in photography and video, and the domestication of animals has produced friendships between species that would never naturally occur together; in many documented cases the species are not normally seen together, and one is sometimes of a species that ordinarily preys on the other in nature.
