Ludovico Geymonat

Ludovico Geymonat (1908-1991) was an Italian mathematician, philosopher and historian of science whose work centered on philosophy of science, epistemology and Marxist philosophy, developing his own interpretation of dialectical materialism. He engaged with the neo-positivism of the Vienna Circle while challenging the idealist intellectual culture of Fascist Italy, working to bridge scientific and philosophical thought and later synthesizing Marxist thought with contemporary philosophy of science.
