Rowan Ellis is a British feminist content creator, author and LGBTQ rights advocate who has produced video essays analyzing popular culture through feminist and queer theory since 2014, coining the term queer catching for media that markets characters as LGBTQ without following through on it. She campaigned publicly against YouTubes restrictions on LGBTQ content, notably in her 2017 video YouTube is Anti-LGBT?, and published the book Here and Queer: A Queer Girls Guide to Life (2022).
