Otto Neurath (1882-1945) was an Austrian-born philosopher of science, sociologist and political economist, described as one of the neglected geniuses of the twentieth century. Among his contributions, he invented the ISOTYPE method of pictorial statistics and was an innovator in museum practice. Before fleeing Austria in 1934, he was one of the leading figures of the Vienna Circle.
