Race, Ethnicity And Inequality

Theorists studying race, ethnicity, caste and nationhood as social structures that produce and sustain inequality, including the historical formation of racial categories, patterns of discrimination and segregation, and the social consequences of racial and ethnic stratification. This group gathers theorists whose central contribution is an account of how race or ethnicity organizes social life and opportunity, distinguishing them from theorists elsewhere on this page whose primary lens is class, gender or postcolonial critique even where their work also touches race.
