Peter Lamborn Wilson

Peter Lamborn Wilson (1945-2022) was an American anarchist author, philosopher, poet and essayist best known for his concept of the Temporary Autonomous Zone, a short-lived space that eludes formal structures of control. Writing from the 1980s onward under the pen name Hakim Bey, he developed ideas such as ontological anarchy, poetic terrorism and immediatism that circulated through small presses, zine networks, anarchist circles and later academic discussions of post-anarchism.
