Andrej Grubacic

Andrej Grubacic (born 1976) is a world-systems historian and anarchist theorist who founded the Department of Anthropology and Social Change at the California Institute of Integral Studies and edits the Journal of World-Systems Research. His scholarship combines Braudelian history, Hegelian Marxism and the anarchist anthropology of Peter Kropotkin, and his book Living at the Edges of Capitalism, co-written with Denis OHearn, won the American Sociological Associations 2017 Political Economy of the World-System Book Award. He is also active in alter-globalization and activist scholarship.
