Errico Malatesta (1853-1932) was an Italian anarchist, theorist and revolutionary socialist. He edited several radical newspapers over a life spent largely in exile and imprisonment, having been jailed or expelled from Italy, Britain, France and Switzerland. Originally a supporter of insurrectionary propaganda of the deed, he later moved toward advocating syndicalism as a strategy for anarchist social transformation.
