Mira Schor

Mira Schor (born 1950) is an American artist, writer, editor and educator known for her contributions to critical discourse on the status of painting in contemporary art and culture as well as to feminist art history and criticism. She co-founded and co-edited the art journal M/E/A/N/I/N/G with Susan Bee, wrote Wet: On Painting, Feminism, and Art Culture (1997), took part in the CalArts Womanhouse project in 1972, and has taught at NSCAD, SUNY Purchase, Sarah Lawrence College, RISD and Parsons; she received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1992 and the Frank Jewett Mather Award in 1999.
