Roxane Gay

Roxane Gay is an American writer, professor, editor and social commentator whose essays offer a widely read strand of contemporary feminist cultural criticism. Her best-selling essay collection Bad Feminist, published in 2014, argues for a version of feminism that accepts contradiction and imperfection rather than demanding ideological purity. She has also written the short story collections Ayiti and Difficult Women, the novel An Untamed State, and the memoir Hunger.
