Anna G. Jonasdottir

Anna G. Jonasdottir (born 1942) is an Icelandic political scientist and gender studies scholar, professor emerita at the Center for Feminist Social Studies at Orebro University and co-director of the GEXcel International Collegium for Advanced Transdisciplinary Gender Studies. Known for her theory of love power, she explores womens interests within participatory democratic political theory, developed in her 1991 University of Gothenburg doctoral dissertation Love Power and Political Interests and her book Why Women Are Oppressed.
