Amadeo Bordiga

Amadeo Bordiga was an Italian revolutionary socialist and Marxist theorist who founded the Communist Party of Italy in the 1920s before falling out of favor with the party as it embraced Bolshevization, and was expelled in 1930. He later became a leading figure of the International Communist Party, writing his most influential theoretical work in that period, arguing for an invariant party program, proletarian internationalism and firm anti-reformism. He remains a central reference point for the current of Marxist thought known as the Communist Left.
