Daniel De Leon

Daniel De Leon (1852-1914) was a Curacao-born American socialist newspaper editor, politician, Marxist theoretician and trade union organizer regarded as the forefather of revolutionary industrial unionism. He led the Socialist Labor Party of America from 1890 until his death and co-founded the Industrial Workers of the World, and his ideas contributed to the founding of Socialist Labor parties across the English-speaking world.
