Che Guevara

Che Guevara, born Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat and military theorist. He was a central figure of the Cuban Revolution alongside Fidel Castro, and afterward held government and diplomatic posts in Cuba before leaving to organize revolutionary movements elsewhere. His writings on guerrilla warfare, drawn from his own campaigns, set out a theory of insurgent strategy that influenced revolutionary movements across Latin America and beyond. His image has since become a widely reproduced symbol of rebellion in global popular culture, independent of the specific political content of his writing.
