Long-distance relationship

A long-distance relationship is an intimate relationship between partners who are geographically separated, facing physical distance and a lack of regular face to face contact. Such relationships are particularly prevalent among college students, who account for an estimated 25 to 50 percent of all relationships in that population, even though the phenomenon remains understudied relative to how common it is.
